HeirVault

Leave docs, logins, bank details, spreadsheets, will copies, and files for contacts you name. They claim when you can't. End-to-end encrypted. Your live vault encrypts in your browser before upload. That means HeirVault stores ciphertext and cannot decrypt your live vault.

How to claim access

Simple steps when someone named you to receive encrypted instructions or files from HeirVault.

  1. 1

    Open your claim link

Use the unique link from your email. It looks like /claim/your-token. Do not share that link.

  2. 2

    Enter the beneficiary passphrase

Depending on delivery mode, sign in with the invited email and unlock with your enrolled account key, enter a beneficiary passphrase shared out of band, or finish assisted transfer for that handoff.

  3. 3

    View what they designated

Docs and files decrypt in your browser. You only see what the owner chose for you, not their entire vault.

If an owner-shared beneficiary passphrase is lost, the vault owner must generate a new one and rebuild the handoff. Assisted delivery transfers handoff access to your account after claim.
